Job Description

Are you looking to make some extra money for your wallet? Well do we have a temporary role for you. We have a partnering client in Ladson, SC that is looking for some Assemblers. The purpose of this position is to assemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair subassemblies and final assemblies. Ensure conformance to product specifications and specific product requirements as outlined on the production order, bill materials and work instruction. This role is only temporary and will last between 8-12 weeks.

Hours:

6AM-3:30PM M-Thursday 6AM-10AM Friday w/ OT in afternoon if required Tasks – Assemble troubleshoot and inspect parts and subassemblies – Installing, un-installing, and transporting of equipment for assembly, testing, and packaging – Ensure finished product meets specifications by utilizing appropriate work instructions, visual inspections, testing or measuring devices, or other tools and fixtures – Completes required documentation and updates records required with the process – Perform general administrative activities (ie. copying, filing, delivering documents, and attending meetings) – Maintain a neat and efficient work area using techniques like 6s and standard work – Understand and apply all safety measures associated with assigned work – Performs other duties as required Decision-making and leadership competencies – Good oral and written communication skills, ability to listen to and follow directions – Demonstrates a willingness to learn – Problem Solving and Analytical Skills – Ability to work as member of a team in a dynamic environment – Ability to multi-task Job specification/expertise – High School diploma or equivalent education required – 6 months to 1 year of experience in electro-mechanical assembly or equivalent combination of education and experience – Ability to use and understand takt timers – Ability to use basic hand and power tools. – Ability to read, understand basic documents, drawings, diagrams – Ability to use basic SAP functions related to Assembly – Capable of troubleshooting, testing and repairing components Special requirements – Familiarity with Lean concepts preferred Physical requirements – Must be able to walk/move about a 144,000 sq ft manufacturing facility: 10% of the time – Must be able to stand/walk/move about specific work area: 95% of the time – Must be able to bend/reach/twist/stoop: 95% of the time – Must be able to lift up to 15lbs on a frequent basis: 50% of the time – Must be able to lift over 15lbs on an infrequent basis: 50% of the time – Must be able to work and operate a computer: 10% of the time – Hearing is essential for safety reasons; and to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers. 9798324
