Hydraulic Assembler Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

Hydraulic Assembler Erhardt + Leimer Inc. Duncan, SC 29334 Responsibilities Read work orders and/or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to lay out, mount, and connect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment successfully. Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements Read drawings and written specifications to plan assembly sequence Perform self-inspection on work and sign off on routing sheet Examine and inspect materials for defects, correcting and/or documenting any issues according to established procedures Confirm part availability on orders and report shortages to supervisor Store materials and supplies needed to maintain inventory of necessary supplies Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist in the movement of materials as needed, including operating a forklift or overhead crane when required. Assist in paint booth to clean and wash parts before painting with water based paint Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary Requirements Previous experience in hydraulic assembly in a machine shop or manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and assembly instructions. Familiarity with operating hand tools, power tools, and transportation equipment (pallet jack, fork lift, overhead crane, etc) Ability to perform basic arithmetic Computer literate is preferred Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for 8 hours per day Ability to lean, bend, or stoop Ability to clearly identify colors
