Description:

The Judge Group is seeking a Production Superintendent for a manufacturingpany located in the Greenville, AL area.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management to set production and quality control standards.
• Develop budgets and cost controls, and gather data on product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
• Plan and oversee production activities, establishing priorities to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate production with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize the use of human resources, machinery, and equipment.
• Review and analyze reports on production, quality control, maintenance, and operations to identify and address nonconformities and production issues.
• Develop and implement procedures to eliminate operational problems and enhance product quality.
• Adjust production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational issues.
• Consult with engineering personnel to modify machinery and equipment for improved production and product quality.
• Ensurepliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in the sawmill.
• Oversee hydraulic unit and drain inspections.
• Supervise sawmill, saw filers, log deck, and log yard employees as directed.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of experience in wood products manufacturing at a supervisory or superintendent level.
• Proven leadership skills, with a track record of achieving goals and managing safety performance.
• Effectivemunication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities.
• Solid knowledge of performance management and continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
• Strong understanding of optimization equipment and processes.
• Organizational skills with the ability to lead change initiatives.
• A background in maintenance is considered an asset.
