Leidos’ Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Production Manager to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team. The Production Manager leads people and processes, overseeing the day-to-day activities of our manufacturing production machine shop Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am-6pm. Apply and share your resume with us today! Primary Responsibilities Manage day to day activities in a high mix/low volume manufacturing facility. Identify and implementing process improvements. Overseeing the allocation and utilization of resources. Ensuring the team is building products that meet the company’s quality standards. Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback. Fostering a safe work environment. Basic Qualifications Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of experience managing CNC Mills & CNC Lathes in a low rate, high mix work environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations. Proficient in MS office and MRP software. Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 3-days Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12-hours per shift, Weekend shift. Regular attendance is required. Must be able to communicate effectively. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience managing greater than 5 employees. 5 axis machining experience utilizing Siemens, Fanac and HAAS controls. Experience managing, machining in a high mix low-rate environment. Six Sigma Green belt.
