Full Job Description Plant Manager/Batchman Job Description:
Responsible for producing ready mix concrete according to specifications, oversee the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, customer service, and supervision of plant employees. Duties & Responsibilities . Ensure concrete loads are batched promptly in accordance to job and ASTM Specifications, safely and efficiently. Verify each load for yardage, mix, added products and all other quality information Schedule material deliveries and ensure adequate inventories in order to meet customer needs, including aggregates, cements, admixtures, fuel and warehouse products. Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained based on company policies. Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards. Maintain plant in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically. Oversee plant employees such as drivers, loader operators, and laborers. Ensure that employees are working safely, efficiently, and consistently with company policies and guidelines. Ensure that plant equipment and yards are kept in proper and clean condition, such as the batch plant, trucks, loaders, and other equipment. Perform daily material testing Thorough working knowledge of computer/batching system Ability to perform moderately complex mathematical equations as applicable Experience Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes. Previous Mixer Truck driving experience a must. Good safety and driving records. Excellent verbal, written and comprehension communication skills. Ability to read, write and figure basic mathematical calculations and clerical skills. Ability to create and maintain maintenance records. Must possess a mechanical aptitude and have the ability to work on the plant as needed Willingness to work nights, overtime and weekends as required. Excellent interpersonal skill and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships.
