We are seeking a dynamic andseasoned Plant Manager to lead our food production operations. Thisis a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for directingand coordinating daily operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, andproductivity. The successful candidate will have a proven trackrecord in food/beverage manufacturing, with extensive knowledge ofFDA and USDA regulations, GMP, SQF, CAPA, and RCA. This rolerequires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage personneleffectively, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Fluency inSpanish is a must, as the role involves overseeing a diverse,bilingual team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of thefood production plant, ensuring all activities are carried outefficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures tooptimize productivity and reduce downtime. Ensure compliance withall relevant regulations, including FDA, USDA, GMP, SQF, CAPA, andRCA. Lead and manage a diverse, bilingual team, fostering apositive work environment that encourages collaboration andinnovation. Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant facilitiesand equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Implement andmonitor training programs to ensure all personnel are equipped withnecessary skills and knowledge. Conduct regular inspections andaudits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence tosafety and quality standards. Collaborate with other departments toalign objectives and strategies, ensuring the overall success ofthe company. Manage budget and resources, making necessaryadjustments to meet operational goals. Handle any issues oremergencies promptly and professionally, implementing correctiveactions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in BusinessManagement, Food Science, or related field. Minimum of 5 years’experience in a managerial role in the food/beverage manufacturingindustry. Proven knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations, GMP, SQF,CAPA, and RCA. Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and teammanagement skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quickdecisions under pressure. Proficient in the use of computersoftware, including MS Office and production management systems.
Experience in training and personnel management. Strong commitmentto safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Ability to workflexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
