Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Plant Manager with hands-on experience in assembly, powder coating, grinding/cutting, fabrication/welding, and quality/inspection to oversee our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a leader who can manage daily production tasks while also driving long-term improvements in efficiency and quality. You will work closely with a Production Control Supervisor to ensure that production runs smoothly, on time, and meets our high standards. This is a key leadership position for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty but can also drive improvements and ensure accountability across the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily factory operations: Manage the production floor, overseeing processes such as assembly, powder coating, grinding/cutting, fabrication/welding, and quality inspection , ensuring targets are met on time with high-quality output and adherence to safety standards.

Supervise and develop the team:

Mentor and guide workers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across multiple disciplines. Collaborate with the

Production Control Supervisor:

Oversee the tracking and scheduling of jobs to maintain a smooth production flow. Help set priorities for jobs in assembly, coating, welding , and other key areas to avoid bottlenecks and ensure timely delivery.

Strategic operational planning:

Identify areas for improvement in production efficiency and processes in fabrication, welding, powder coating, and quality , working with the team to implement solutions that enhance overall factory performance.

Monitor production metrics:

Ensure production data is tracked and used effectively to improve workflows and meet goals. Address delays or issues related to assembly, powder coating , grinding, cutting, and welding , and report on key performance metrics.

Ensure quality control:

Work closely with teams to ensure that products in fabrication, powder coating, assembly, and cutting meet the highest quality standards before moving to the next stage of production or shipping.

Coordinate across departments:

Serve as the link between production, sales, and customer service, ensuring communication and expectations are aligned across different processes like welding and powder coating .

Vendor and material management:

Work with purchasing to guarantee that materials related to fabrication, powder coating, and assembly are available when needed, avoiding production delays.

Drive process improvement:

Use data and metrics to identify and implement ways to make production faster, more efficient, and cost-effective, particularly in areas like welding, powder coating, and quality inspection .

Production Control Specifics:

Track production schedules: Maintain up-to-date work orders and job information in production management systems (Salesforce or similar), especially for key processes like assembly, welding, and powder coating .

Set job priorities:

Determine which jobs need attention first based on deadlines and customer demand, with a focus on fabrication, powder coating, cutting, and assembly timelines.

Reporting and metrics:

Create simple, clear reports from production metrics, helping spot and address inefficiencies in real-time across multiple areas like welding, grinding, and powder coating .

Qualifications:
Experience:

5+ years of experience in a factory management or production control role, with hands-on expertise in assembly, powder coating, grinding/cutting, fabrication/welding, and quality inspection processes.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment while maintaining accountability and promoting safety, especially in welding, powder coating, and fabrication settings.

Strategic thinking:

Demonstrated success in optimizing production workflows, increasing efficiency, and improving quality in cutting, powder coating, and welding processes.

Technical skills:

Proficient in production management software (e.g., Salesforce or similar), with strong Excel skills for reporting and metrics tracking across multiple processes like fabrication, assembly, and powder coating .

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate (Bilingual is a plus) effectively across teams and with external vendors, particularly in relation to cutting, welding, and quality inspection .

Problem-solving:

Ability to address and resolve production delays, equipment issues, and other challenges in a timely and effective manner, especially in key processes like welding, powder coating, and fabrication .

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and move around the factory floor for long periods, overseeing processes such as grinding, cutting, welding, powder coating, and assembly . Ability to lift up to 40 lbs when needed.
