Job Duties:
The Plant Manager holds responsibility for overseeing plant activities to align with business objectives by translating the corporate mission and vision into daily operations. The Plant Manager is accountable for all aspects of plant performance, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives are met in a cost-effective manner consistent with health & safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Delegating authority to key supervisors in production and managing all plant operations activities are integral to the Plant Manager’s role. Additionally, the Plant Manager is accountable for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and responsible conduct of business at Latham Pool’s headquarters facilities. The Plant Manager is responsible for undertake a diverse range of responsibilities central to plant operations. Ensuring safe and environmentally compliant operations involves executing EH&S policies, implementing procedures, and maintaining practices aligned with regulatory standards. The Plant Manager oversees facility security to safeguard personnel and assets. Effectively executing the production plan, meeting order fulfillment demands, and upholding quality criteria are key objectives. The Plant Manager also oversees facility and equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted production. Financial stewardship is crucial, involving budget development, delivery, and management to ensure efficient financial operations. The Plant Manager plays a pivotal role in managing Capital Expenditure Projects (CERs) aimed at delivering measurable returns on investments. Driving productivity improvements is within the Plant Manager’s purview, focusing on Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) and Base Cost Productivity (BCP) projects through lean/six sigma initiatives. The Plant Manager monitors plant operations, initiating corrective actions as needed, and actively participates in Project Management (PMO) activities to ensure operational excellence. Collaboration with shared services leaders optimizes plant performance strategically and tactically. The Plant Manager manages and maintains the Latham headquarters, overseeing facility aspects and supervising maintenance staff. Human Resources functions, including salary administration, performance reviews, and fostering a culture of cross-training, are also part of the Plant Manager’s responsibilities. The Plant Manager administers cultural programs promoting engagement, inclusion, and open communication while ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and laws. Focus on long-term succession planning and providing necessary training and guidance to individuals within the plant is emphasized.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering Required Experience:
Eight years as a Manufacturing Engineer (or related)
