Role Overview
The Senior Manufacturing Staff Manager will lead and optimize manufacturing processes. The role will own and influence budgets, operating plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence. The role has the potential to make a significant impact on a small business unit or functional family.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of 10 – 20 professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Attract, retain, and develop talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Define, develop, oversee, and continuously improve production processes, including tooling and equipment, to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.
Validate design specifications and ensure seamless shop floor application of new products, tools, and equipment.
Influence policy to ensure on time delivery while aligning with broader organizational goals.
Interpret internal and external business challenges, recommend best practices, and lead creative solutions for complex manufacturing processes involving technical variety and interdependent production cycles.
Work closely with adjacent functions to address issues, evaluate data quality, and make informed decisions using multiple internal and external resources.
Present technical and business solutions to leadership, communicate complex messages effectively, and negotiate internally and externally to drive alignment and action.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience within an electronics manufacturing environment)
Minimum of 5 years of experience directly leading people within a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience directly leading people within an electronics manufacturing environment.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Proficiency in data analysis and manufacturing software tools.
Passion for innovation and a commitment to driving positive change.
