Full-Time A leading, privately held building materials supplier is seeking an experienced and results-driven Block Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations of its concrete block manufacturing plant. This is a key leadership role responsible for production scheduling, team management, inventory oversight, and plant performance optimization. If you’re a hands-on manager with deep knowledge of concrete block manufacturing ( experience with a Besser V3-12 ) and a passion for driving efficiency, safety, and quality, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Develop and maintain daily and long-term production schedules that align with customer demand and operational capacity. Monitor production equipment (especially Besser V3-12 block machines), identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions. Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment rooted in accountability and safety. Manage parts and mold inventory, ensuring availability of critical supplies. Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements. Provide mentorship, training, and performance oversight for plant personnel.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in concrete block manufacturing or industrial production management. Strong knowledge of block production processes, equipment operation, and quality control. Familiarity with the Besser V3-12 block machine preferred. Solid understanding of workplace safety and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
