Manufacturing Manager

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Join our team as a Manufacturing Manager at our Peachtree City Roofing facility, where you’ll lead daily Production and Maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll drive performance by developing production schedules, managing KPIs, overseeing critical equipment maintenance, and championing Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role with significant impact on operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement across the plant.
Here’s what you can expect day-to-day:
Lead and coordinate production and maintenance activities within the facility.
Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules aligned with sales forecasts and inventory needs.
Monitor and manage production KPIs, including output, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
Drive compliance with product specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to identify and implement process improvements.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for critical plant equipment, such as laminators, cutters, extruders, and conveyors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce costs, and address bottlenecks.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards, participating in incident investigations and corrective actions.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
Required Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Experience:

5+ years of manufacturing experience in a management capacity, including prior first-line supervision and experience in at least two manufacturing support functions (e.g., Production Control or Quality Assurance).

Technical Skills:

Strong working knowledge of product structures, modern manufacturing technologies, and quality standards. Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Leadership & Communication Skills:

Proven ability to engage, lead, and develop a talented team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
