Plant Manager 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Dahlonega, GA Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for directing, managing, and optimizing overall operations and financial performance (P&L) of the truck business unit in alignment with established policies and procedures. This role requires strong leadership in operations management, staff development, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead all manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production goals and the development of a motivated, well-trained workforce. Implement operational policies and procedures to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Gather and analyze operational metrics to establish performance targets aligned with financial objectives. Promote and support manufacturing excellence by deploying continuous improvement strategies focused on quality and efficiency. Enforce plant safety and security through comprehensive inspections, audits, and training programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Supervise cross-functional teams including production, logistics, operations, and warehousing. Champion process improvement methodologies such as 6S, Lean Manufacturing, SOP development, and site-based tiger team projects. Provide strategic oversight to the leadership team, ensuring cohesive operations and business success. Collaborate with leaders across departments to manage the entire order-to-shipment lifecycle. Oversee warranty processes and post-delivery repair services. Perform other duties as required to support organizational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities Full responsibility for managing subordinate leaders and their respective teams, ensuring effective alignment with business objectives. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred. Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (Green or Black Belt) required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management with demonstrated leadership capability. In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations and departmental interdependencies. Expertise in key manufacturing processes, including fabrication, welding, painting, and automotive assembly. Experience with robotic manufacturing systems is advantageous.
