Job Description

HR Manager (Manufacturing industry) 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Augusta, GA HTI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager with an international manufacturing company at their new start-up facility in Waynesboro, GA (located just south of Augusta). This is a full-time, direct hire, onsite, salaried position. Working hours are Monday – Friday from 7am-4pm. The salary range is approximately $70,000 – $85,000 / year, depending on education and experience. This company offers excellent benefits and opportunities for growth!

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related field of study 5+ years of experience as an HR Manager or HR Generalist handling the job duties listed below Must have experience in the manufacturing industry; plant start-up experience is preferred Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.); experience with ADP software is preferred SHRM certification is a plus Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills Job duties include: Employee relations: Foster and develop a positive company culture, working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention Serve as a resource for employees and managers for all HR-related questions and issues Manage and implement effective employee relations, employee recognition, and internal communication processes and programs Resolve any employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations when required Policies and procedures: Review, create, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and forms Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing support and guidance to the leadership team Properly and securely maintain all personnel records and HR documentation Training and development: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers and team leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) Identify training needs and provide recommendations; monitor training programs and follow up to ensure objectives are met Manage the employee performance review processes; implement performance improvement plans when required Coordinate with the plant safety specialist to ensure that new hire and ongoing safety training is conducted in a timely and effective manner Benefits and payroll: Coordinate with benefits brokers, payroll and benefits system vendors, and HR service providers Communicate with internal accounting staff as needed regarding payroll/payroll tax and benefits procedures Oversee the annual benefits enrollment process and assist employees with any payroll/benefits questions or issues Hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning: Review applicants and manage the interview process and scheduling Write offer letters, and conduct new hire onboarding, orientation, and benefits enrollment Participate in strategic business planning processes and provide guidance on workforce/growth planning, succession planning, and compensation analysis Benefits include: Medical, dental and vision coverage 401K with 5% employer match 3 weeks of vacation/PTO #INDPRO
