The schedule will be Monday-Friday day shift, possible weekend work, when/if necessary. Ideal Candidate Specifications Proven leadership skills in a chemical or process manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and strategic direction to the chemical production team, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Oversee all aspects of the chemical manufacturing process, including batch production, raw material handling, in-process controls, and packaging.
Drive efficiency across plant operations, ensuring manufacturing activities are executed in a cost-effective and timely manner, while maintaining product integrity.
Ensure full compliance with

ISO 9001, ISO

14001, and relevant chemical industry quality and environmental standards, working in collaboration with the on-site Quality Control Manager and corporate.
Monitor and improve product specifications, process parameters, and plant KPIs, implementing corrective and preventative action plans (CAPAs) where necessary.
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues, including deviations, process upsets, and non-conforming batches.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards relating to chemical handling, safety, environmental management (REACH, COSHH, etc.), and personnel safety.
Manage site maintenance budgets, including planning for equipment renewals and overseeing third-party contractors for plant servicing and upgrades.
Coordinate closely with corporate office, particularly the Research & Applications Manager, to support formulation changes, scale-ups, and technical transfers.
Support and lead cross-functional projects, process improvement initiatives, and site development plans as directed by the board.
Ensure full compliance with site Health & Safety policies, leading initiatives to reduce risk and improve safety culture across chemical operations.

Experience:

4-7 years

Qualifications:

Minimum 4-7 years experience in a chemical production or manufacturing management role.
In-depth knowledge of ISO standards applicable to chemical manufacturing (e.g.

Familiarity with chemical regulatory requirements (e.g.

REACH, CLP, COSHH

).
