Job Description :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Plant Manager. UPB desires to hire someone who can excel from the start and who can learn and adapt in a multi-faceted work environment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing plant in Greenwood, MS, ensuring efficient production of high-quality portable buildings. This includes quality assurance, personnel management, process/workflow oversight, inventory management, executive level reporting and industry data interpretation, production schedule projections and benchmark establishments, adherence/enforcement to corporate policies and expectations, maintaining a safe, clean, efficient warehouse/workstations, constant professional communicating with corporate office, shop workforce, contractors, vendors, customers, and dealer network, an in-depth familiarity with Microsoft Office (primarily Word and Excel), Google Sheets, standard industry online platforms, as well as top level experience with email communications.

Responsibilities :

• Management and supervision of shop personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance and inspections at various stages of the production process.
• Maintain accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Operate various manufacturing equipment and tools.

Qualifications :

• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• 3+ years of specific experience in the shed & portable building industry is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate personnel from an executive level
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and inspection procedures.
• Proficient in material procurement and inventory management
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in using various construction equipment and tools.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• Physically able to climb ladders, crawl under buildings, and other standard manufacturing/construction expectations
• Current holder of a state issued driver’s license.

Clean driving record and ability to maintain that status.
