The Production Manager is a key member of the Mebane Operations team. This role is responsible for managing departmental operations — including safety, people, quality, and production — and ensuring established goals and objectives are consistently met. Job Responsibilities Drive safety and ensure operations safety measures and procedures are followed Establish goals and objectives for direct reports through the Annual Performance Development Review process Evaluate departmental operations to ensure quality metrics are achieved Ensure on-time delivery, product quality, and production targets are met within budget Support development and execution of the department’s operational budget Lead cost reduction and plant profitability initiatives Manage and coach employees within the department Monitor equipment and production, utilizing maintenance support as needed Coordinate production scheduling with the Plant Planner Establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet targets Partner with HR on staffing, development, and training needs Benchmark industry best practices for continuous improvement opportunities Maintain and update standard operating procedures Maintain a strong presence on the floor to ensure World Class Manufacturing systems are applied Recommend design concepts, materials, processes, and components Support training initiatives in WCM pillars and problem-solving methodologies Review performance data and financial metrics to identify areas for cost or performance improvement Job Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred 5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment required Ability to succeed in a cross-cultural, global team setting Professional written and verbal communication skills Strong understanding of statistical process control and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices Experience with rubber processing: mixing, curing, extrusion, and foaming Proven leadership and team development capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles Beneficial Experience Candidates with prior experience managing Mixing Department operations will bring added value to this role.

The expected compensation range for this role is $120,000.00 -$140,000.00. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
