Join our Air Systems Components (ASC) business segment as the Plant Manager at our Tarboro, NC facility. In this critical leadership role, you will drive operational performance, lead cultural transformation through Lean principles, and ensure safety, quality, and service excellence for our customers. What You’ll Do Lead Plant Operations Oversee all aspects of plant performance including safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Ensure alignment of people, processes, and metrics to achieve operational goals and P&L targets. Drive Lean Transformation Champion the implementation of the Air Distribution Manufacturing System (ADMS) and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Lead transformation and supply chain optimization projects using Lean tools and CI methodologies. Develop High-Performing Teams Build and sustain a strong leadership bench and talent pipeline that reflects diversity in background, experience, and thought. Implement High-Performance Teams (HPTs) and employee engagement strategies to drive accountability and results. Enhance Operational Excellence Implement S&OP, Master Scheduling, and One-Piece Flow to improve lead times, reduce inventory, and increase efficiency. Monitor and improve plant KPIs through structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making. Foster a Culture of Safety and Integrity Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards. Lead by example, upholding JCI’s values of integrity, respect, and customer focus. Engage with Stakeholders Maintain strong communication with internal and external customers, commercial teams, and community partners. Represent the facility in local business and community initiatives to strengthen relationships and visibility.
What You’ll Bring Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
10+ years in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.
Leadership:
Proven experience managing direct reports and extended teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Lean Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems (e.g., TPS) and demonstrated success in leading cultural and operational transformation.
Skills:
