Engineering Department Position:
Full Time:
40hrs per week / On-site M-F / Greensboro, NC Salary range: Negotiable based on experience. Qualification 7+ years of hands-on and machine design experience in lithium metal and lithium-ion battery materials (production, process, quality, facilities), including electrolytes, metal anodes, and especially roll-to-roll, vision, or electrochemical deposition processes. Open to all educational backgrounds (HS diploma to PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field). Background in automation, process engineering related and quality control to lithium metal. Having a mindset and execution to solve technical challenges/issues with fundamental and feasible approaches. Problem-solving attitude in the fast phase startup company. Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for leading pilot-scale production and engineering efforts, including machine design and operation. Lead and support process optimization and stabilization for lithium metal production, particularly in roll-to-roll and deposition operations. Lead and collaborate in equipment design, upgrades and maintenance in compliance with manufacturer specifications and operational safety standards Collaborate cross-functionally with team members to execute engineering projects, support production scale-up, and develop new technologies Lead/manage relevant joint-development program timeline to ensure program deliveries are on time and under budget. Interface with the Technical Staff daily to discuss present and future projects for updates. Lead/generate intellectual properties or trade secrets to protect the company’s technological developments and secure a competitive position. Write routine reports and correspondence. Conduct research and development related to lithium metal, foil handling, and chemical processing to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
