Position Overview The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure efficient production, quality output, and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong focus on optimizing processes, managing staff, and ensuring that production goals align with company objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Execution o Oversee plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, and quality control.
o Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products. o Implement and enforce quality control standards to meet customer expectations. o Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements. o Develop and manage the plant’s budget, optimizing cost control measures.
- Team Leadership and Management o Lead and manage plant personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
o Oversee workforce scheduling and resource allocation to meet production targets effectively. o Provide training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and competencies. o Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of production metrics, safety incidents, and compliance reports.
- Strategic Planning and Risk Mitigation o Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
o Collaborate with engineering and R D teams to support new product development and process innovations. o Develop and implement safety programs to create a secure working environment and reduce workplace hazards. o Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation o Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency. o Drive automation and technological advancements to improve manufacturing capabilities. o Work with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing practices and process optimization efforts. Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position.
- Electro-mechanical exposure within the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) industry electrical components industry preferred.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance, and quality control standards.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office. Competencies

Work environment The employee will perform the duties associated with this job in a manufacturing environment. Occasionally, the employee will be exposed to moving equipment such as fork trucks, hazardous chemicals such as solvents and cleaners, moderate noise levels and moderate changes in ambient temperature.
