Position Overview:

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fabrication facility, ensuring that all production processes are running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position requires a strong leader who can manage teams, monitor production schedules, maintain quality standards, and ensure the safety of all workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Team Leadership:

Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of production workers, machinists, and fabricators, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

Process Optimization:

Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels, ensuring that materials are available when needed, and oversee purchasing and supply chain processes.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all fabricated steel products meet strict quality standards through rigorous inspections and testing.

Safety Compliance:

Uphold the highest safety standards within the facility, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and conducting regular safety audits.

Scheduling and Planning:

Develop production schedules and ensure resource allocation aligns with client deadlines and project timelines.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the engineering, sales, and project management teams to ensure customer requirements are met and production timelines are adhered to.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a production management role, ideally within the steel fabrication or manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, machinery, and tools. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience in AISC Building Fabricator certification is a plus.
