Production Manager SteelFabrication Pinebluff, NC 28373 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager with welding background to oversee our steel fabrication operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operation management and production systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization. As a key leader in our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes while maintaining high-quality standards and on-time deliveries. Duties Manage day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Implement production schedules and workflows, optimizing resources to meet demand. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with employees and management to ensure tasks are performed per needs and that material is available to various stations. Lead and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Monitor production metrics and analyze data to identify areas for process improvement. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Utilize welding knowledge to review WIP materials and improve operational reliability. Facilitate lean manufacturing practices to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Qualifications Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment (welding preferred) Familiarity with assembly processes and fabrication techniques. Demonstrated ability in continuous improvement methodologies, including lean manufacturing. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement. Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams effectively. Welding knowledge is preferred for troubleshooting and optimizing processes.
