General Description:

Plant Manager is responsible for staffing and leading the employees while managing operations and maintenance activities. Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity are continuously improving in compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure that all EHS regulations, policies, and procedures are enforced: Ensure EHS safeguards are in-place and regularly tested for proper function. Ensure all employees are trained and consistently work to comply. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace. Provide effective leadership to all employees: Set a proper example, train and develop employees, build teamwork, and provide coaching for performance problems. Manage and maintain machinery, production tooling, process parameters: Manage front-line maintenance activities (coordinate additional maintenance support resources as needed). Ensure all process parameters are controlled. Develop and maintain the production schedule: Schedule and plan production. Monitor performance and make adjustments as needed. Respond to changes or problems in the production environment, provide clear direction, and facilitate problem resolution activities.

Maintain effective production reporting systems:

Ensure production data is measured properly and collected consistently. Check and confirm data accuracy, train employees as needed and ensure that all production reporting is gathered on-time.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED (Associate’s degree in a technical specialty is a plus) OSHA 10-Hour Training for General & Construction Industries 5 years’ experience leading plant operations Skilled in Microsoft Office products (automated batching system experience is a plus) Strong organization, project management and time management skills Strong interpersonal skills (communicate well at all levels within the organization) Demonstrated ability to think in terms of “systems” and work creatively to improve them Demonstrated ability to lead improvement efforts and contribute to the success of a team NC DOT Batch Certification
