Concrete Plant Manager 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars China Grove, NC 28023 Job description: Crete Solutions LLC, a privately owned ready mixed concrete supplier, is seeking a Plant Manager for operations in the Landis/China Grove area. Management skills and experience are a requirement along with safety training, knowledge of the quality processes needed and an understanding of environmental regulations that are applicable to the industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee overall operations of the concrete plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met
- Manage and lead a team of plant personnel, including professional ready mix concrete drivers and plant operations and maintenance staff
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among plant personnel
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant productivity, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight haulers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials
- Monitor and control costs, including operational expenses, labor costs, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as safety protocols and environmental guidelines
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve any maintenance or equipment issues
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of plant operations, production reports, and quality control checks
Requirements:
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) working in a similar role within the concrete or construction materials industry
- Strong knowledge of production process, equipment, and quality control measures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices
