Position Overview:

We seek a skilled Chemist with management experience to lead daily operations at our manufacturing facility. You will manage a small team (6-10 members) dedicated to producing high-performance chemical formulations, coordinate with vendors, and address technical client inquiries. In this role, you will optimize production efficiency, uphold rigorous quality standards, and support process improvements to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the position will evolve to include research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing existing products and driving innovative new solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:

Supervise and mentor a small manufacturing team Coordinate daily operations and ensure adherence to production workflows

Manufacturing Oversight:

Oversee production processes and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) Maintain lab tidiness, manage inventory, and order raw materials

Formulation Development:

Prepare and develop chemical formulations according to specifications Troubleshoot production issues and optimize processes

Client & Vendor Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries from clients Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely supply of raw materials

Research & Development:

Lead R D initiatives aimed at enhancing product performance and developing new products

Qualifications:
Education:

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field preferred; candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and significant relevant experience will also be considered

Experience:

Proven management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting Hands-on experience in chemical formulation and process optimization

Skills:

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards in chemical manufacturing is a plus
