Assistant Plant Manager LAMATEK Inc West Deptford, NJ 08066 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining safety standards, and motivating staff. This role requires strong leadership skills, plus an understanding of inventory management and production planning.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct all activities related to operations and production in accordance with the strategic goals of the Company Direct and manage the overall production plan, including supervising the day-to-day operations that come with implementing such plans Make optimum use of equipment and available manpower to ensure better productivity Evaluates performance against production goals and adjusts allocations of resources (e.g., personnel, equipment, materials) as needed to optimize quality and amount of equipment, machinery and components produced, quality of services provided, and cost-efficiency of operations Manages direct reports, assign work to staff, sets goals and provide supervision Evaluate production staff performance, plans staff development, and collaborate with management and human resources in approving people management decisions Integral in the interview process for production team hiring

Supplemental Functions:

Manages safety and health factors in all processes Maximizes yields (product to raw material ratios) Minimizes off-specification product Maximizes equipment use Manages scheduling and timing of production department Plans for current and future production requirements Provides leadership and mentorship to production team Determines and communicates individual performance issues to staff Address employee issues and grievances

Knowledge and Skills:

Able to work both independently and within a team to generate results Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written Ability to analyze and offer solutions to problems in a timely manner Must be flexible, innovative and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles Strong organizational and time management skills

Education, Training and Experience:
