As we expand our operations into New Jersey, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to join our Protek Cargo family and team and help drive our production operations to new heights. Our ideal Production Manager is one who is a highly organized, results driven leader who excels in managing complex production processes while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency and safety. Our ideal Production Manager is one who is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, able to balance the demands of production schedules while maintaining an upbeat work atmosphere and a high morale amongst the entire Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate production schedules, monitor workflows, and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring products meet company and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and maintenance, to optimize production processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in production management.
  • Strong mechanical experience, with the ability to understand and oversee the operation of production machinery.
  • Proven management experience, with a track record of leading and motivating teams to achieve goals.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, workflow optimization, and quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, NetSuite or equivalent ERP.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience with plastic extrusion, injection molding and Lean Manufacturing. Familiarity with
