Teknicote’s facilities provide automatic, semi-automatic, and manual coating services in a vast array of finishes. From a small, deep-drawn brass tube to a large, galvanneal sheet metal telecommunications cabinet. Teknicote can provide a protective, high-quality, decorative, or functional finish on 1 or 1 million units. In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for a Plant Manager to add to our growing team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations, including production, wastewater, maintenance, logistics, purchasing & inventory, ensuring policies and procedures are followed Develop processes to increase productivity, reduce production costs, and enhance performance Actively monitor all nonconformances and work for a speedy resolution and permanent RCCA Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with supervisors/managers and responding to employee issues and concerns promptly Ensuring that all areas are well-organized and productive work areas Work with the General Manager to establish metrics for each production work center as well as ensuring accountability by establishing clear expectations, clear capability, clear measurement, clear feedback, and clear consequences Promote and address performance issues Actively promote all company policies and expectations, especially in support of safety plans and results Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives Ensure equipment is always kept in peak operating conditions with the Maintenance Manager Immediately respond to any equipment, people, or building issues when needed Make recommendations for improvements in our facility and equipment that will allow us to improve our company continually, and the environment we work in Continually investigate and recommend improvements of any kind to ensure that all areas of the facility are safe and secure Track the total run time by machine vs. available hours, as this will help with capacity planning and machine and line run-time optimization Focus on the reduction of direct labor costs as a percentage of sales, as it’s of paramount importance, including the installation of automated processes, procedures, and the elimination of direct labor All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

3+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment BS degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a relevant field preferred but not required Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required Background working in an ISO environment with an understanding of all facility ISO requirements Understanding of RCCA process Understanding and previous use of the Change Management process Past success at maintaining budgeted revenue and controlling expenses Be a floor-level Plant Manager, visible on the floor and positively affecting production pace. This is not an administrator/desk position Ability to work in a hot/cold environment successfully Ability to work any hours needed. Workforce shift is currently 5 am-1:30 pm, but that could change Must have intermediate-level Microsoft Excel skills Ability to present data in a clear, cogent manner with data to back up position Ability to radiate optimism and impact the environment with positivity Ability to maintain focus on goals in the face of distractions Ability to read and write in English, as well as having computer literacy Proven managerial experience with strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills The ability to work with a diverse culture to find ways to improve processes, quality, and safety The ability to exemplify and embrace our BEST values and culture of quality, customer service, safety, and team
