Job Description
Production Manager wanted in Spartanburg, South Carolina to be responsible for management of the assembly and installation of new equipment and conversions of existing facilities; Management of the achievement of production KPIs; Management of overall daily production quotas and day-to-day functions of production and maintenance departments including management of staff; Exercise discretion in the hiring, firing, compensation, and discipline of Production personnel; Participation in Continuous Improvement programs; Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe manner and inspection schedules are being met; Ensure a safety first mindset is integrated into staff so a consistent, high quality product can be delivered on time to our customers; Ensure supervisors and leads are held accountable for safety performance of their areas; Create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment; Establish and maintain compliance with MAFACT and required certifications including, but not limited to, IATF16949 and
ISO 14001
; Responsible for 5S within the plant and daily housekeeping; and Perform other duties as assigned in order to meet the needs of the company; The related experience must include: plan and develop production process for the manufacturing of semi-truck aluminum fuel tanks, including capacity planning and plant layout for the manufacturing process; and, complete special aluminum fuel tank projects and specific process FMEAs.
Requires a general Associates degree and 24 months of related experience as a Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Process Lead Engineer, or Production Manager.
