Job Summary:
As a Production Manager, you will be an essential member of driving SouthWood’s success. This role is responsible for overseeing the production of all signage and graphics produced by SouthWood and its vendors. Through process strategy, training, coaching, and driving our core values you will lead the entire production team in coordinating the production schedule to ensure all dates are met according to project management expectations and quality standards. This position works closely with the Operation Manager, Production Supervisor, and Project Managers to ensure concise and professional communication across the organization. It is essential to possess knowledge of all facets of sign manufacturing and the ability to teach others and guide them to produce the highest quality signs in the industry.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and manage production schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and meeting deadlines.
Budget Management:
Create and monitor production budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and staying within financial constraints.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet standards.
Safety Management:
Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Team LeadershipDevelopment:
Lead and motivate production teams, providing guidance and support.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Resource Management:
Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize production.
Communication:

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as Production Manager. Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and guide a team. Mentoring and developing team members. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to interpret design drawings and blueprints accurately. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push and pull. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Proper use of required PPE.
