- Manufacturing Training is responsible for developing training content, assessing the skills, performance, safety, productivity, and competency of associates in the manufacturing plant, as well as providing written evaluations, to include areas of improvement.
What your day will look like: Builds positive associate morale.
Manage the execution of the training program within the manufacturing plant
Create and facilitate associate onboarding training content to include job specific duties, safety, environmental, quality and food safety requirements
Develop associate training plans with department champions and the MSM
Facilitate the utilization of competency evaluations for associates and develop training plans to improve competency
Work with department champions and MSM to review and update SOP’s, work aids, forms, and training aids
Develop career mapping for each hourly position within the manufacturing plant
Coordinate and oversee developmental training and classes for plant leadership
Work with department supervisors to ensure Master Control Training is completed for existing as well as new hires.
Partners with department champions and MSM to facilitate external training needs
Participate in continuous improvement exercises as they relate to improvements or enhancements in training methods, training programs and initiatives, and training content
Collaborate with MSM to maintain training records and track training performance results
Help to establish training milestones and goals
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management What you need to succeed: Minimum age 18 years old
Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required to match MSM
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years minimum experience with managing training programs preferred
Ability to observe, understand, and document various processes and procedures and communicate with associates and plant leadership required
Ability to travel (15%)
Excellent organizational, planning, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Physical Requirements Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
