Title:
Director of Production Job Summary:
The Production Director oversees Snapdragons’ manufacturing operations from raw material sourcing to finished product delivery. They manage production schedules, ensure products meet quality standards, and develop process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. They lead production managers and staff, working with other departments such as warehouse, marketing, art, logistics, and sales to ensure smooth operations and timely product delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Managing Director of Manufacturing
- Oversee the production process to ensure goals are met on time and within budget
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Help maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards
- Work closely with R D and Art to align design and development with production goals
- Participate in the hiring and training processes
- Manage a team of production staff, including managers, supervisors, and workers
- Develop and implement safety and environmental policies to comply with regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to align production goals with company strategy
- Evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production effectiveness
- Regularly communicate with senior management on production progress and performance
- Oversee COA audits
- Review workflows, staffing, space, equipment, and action plans to meet productivity and quality standards
- Inspect equipment and oversee maintenance
- Meet regularly with Production leads to analyze productivity and develop loss prevention plans
- Maintain accurate records of Production activities
- Adhere to FDA/Agriculture protocols
- Collaborates with the CEO and other creatives in order to council feasibility for new product research
- Perform other duties as needed
