Production Manager Position Available In Knox, Tennessee

Production Manager Daniel Hood Roofing Systems Knoxville, TN Earn up to $120,000 per year with incentives. We are looking for an experienced Production Control Manager to organize and oversee the production of residential roofing services. This position is responsible for all material procurement, material scheduling, installation scheduling, and resource planning. You will be the primary Customer Service liaison between the customer and our vendor partners. Strong Customer Service skills are a must. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all production projects after being sold by Sales. We expect you to have in-depth experience with production procedures and the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance in a fast-paced environment. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive workflow process that meets company requirements and customer expectations. Compensation is Salary plus override incentive. Monthly bonuses earned based on set companywide performance objectives. Responsibilities Project planning and resource management Procure and schedule all material deliveries Manage vendor performance Set daily production (installation) schedules Schedule material deliveries on-time with production starts Control costs and margins on all jobs to maintain company margin profile Resource management- ensure that the company has the production resources necessary to meet Sales demand Work with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements Estimate project costs and request bids from vendors and sub-contractors Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines Remain in communicate with sub-contractors, vendors, and co-workers to streamline, monitor, and resolve production issues Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (roofers, carpenters, workers, etc.) Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, materials etc.) Approve work orders, rental equipment, etc. Ensure output meets quality standards Enforce health and safety precautions Production Control Manager is a hands on role and part of the management team Reports to CEO Skills Proven experience as scheduler/production/production control manager Management experience in a contractor services business required Experience in Roofing or hands-on procurement and management of Roofing subs required Knowledge of production management/scheduling Can-do attitude Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts Experience in reporting on key production metrics Proficient in MS Office Experience in JobProgress helpful, but not necessary Outstanding communication ability Excellent organizational and leaderships skills Attention to detail Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach BSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferred
