Company DescriptionJob Description is hiring for a Learning andDevelopment (L&D) Manager to contribute to our team inLaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. The ideal candidate will haveexperience supporting an Operations/Manufacturing environment.
TheLearning and Development (L&D) Manager plans, develops,delivers and evaluates employee enablement initiatives across theorganization. Supports the enablement of the assigned client groupwhich includes owning the design, development, management, andimpact measurement strategy for their Learning and TalentManagement portfolio. Facilitates existing employee enablementsolutions while also supporting the development of new solutions asneeded. Works closely with the L&D team and assigned clientgroup to ensure alignment to the highest value employee enablementopportunities to not only improve their employee experience, but toalso drive internal L&D process improvements. Works with clientgroup and cross-functional teams on Learning & Talent Managementprocess optimization while also developing and facilitating contentthat supports improvement in workflow efficiency, leadershipeffectiveness, and operational cost reduction.

RequiredQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, OrganizationalDevelopment, Education, HR, Business or related field 3 years of experience in identifying role and teamcompetencies, by conducting formal needs/skills gap analysis andHR/Operational data analysis 3 years of experience in designing, developing, andfacilitating training for both people leaders and individualcontributors to include 2 years’ experience working with e-learningsolutions and learning management systems. 3 years of experience measuring impact of instructionalprograms and generating appropriate metrics to demonstrateeffectiveness and return on investment 1 year experience implementing learning and organizationaldevelopment processes to increase associate or group performance,including succession planning, change management, competencymodeling, career development or other strategic talent orperformance management initiatives OR process mapping, processimprovement, and continuous improvement techniques such as
LeanManufacturing/Six SigmaPreferred Qualifications:
Experience working in or supporting an operations ormanufacturing environment, 2-3 years preferred Experience developing training programs or content for exemptor non-exempt Operations Associates to drive process improvementwithin an operations environment Experience facilitating Instructor Led technical and softskills training programs Experience using a LMS system Strong written and verbal communication skills, and experiencedirectly supporting HR Managers and Plant leadership within afacility Ability to travel up to 25-40%
Key Responsibilities:
Consults with HR or with client groups on learning and/ororganizational development initiatives designed to increaseindividual or team performance. Conducts formal needs and gap analysis and analyzes data todetermine learning needs. Works closely with client groups to identify and assess roleand team competencies and performance gaps. Recommends and implements targeted learning and organizationaldevelopment solutions. Designs, develops and delivers instructor-led learninginitiatives for both people leaders and individualcontributors. Measures impact of instructional programs and generatesappropriate metrics to demonstrate effectiveness and return oninvestment. Supports in the design development, and implementation of Onthe Job (OTJ) technical training content to meet client needs andfill performance gaps. Reviews and provides improvement recommendations on alllearning development processes to include but not limited tosuccession planning, change management, competency modeling, careerdevelopment, process mapping/improvement, and strategic talentdevelopment.
Hiring Salary Range:
$83,230k-$105,532k. This rangerepresents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for thisposition. It will be determined by factors including but notlimited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge,skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internalequity and alignment with market data.
