Assistant Plant Manager The Nelson Company seeks an Assistant Plant Manager to manage all activities related to the Memphis, TN, facility. You will lead the workforce, instilling motivation and communication effectively to achieve maximum results.

To thrive as an Assistant Plant Manager, you should have: High School diploma required. Preferred experience in production/warehouse distribution environment. Equipment, maintenance/mechanical experience is highly desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be able to pass background check and drug test. Your responsibilities as the Assistant Plant Manager will include: Plan, inspect production operations, establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. Ensures standards of productivity, safety and accuracy are met. Review production orders/schedules to ascertain product data and delivery dates to plan department operations. Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, maintenance and worker grievances/problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operation delays. Submit unresolved worker grievances to General Manager. Ensure adequate training of all personnel, including cross-training. Maintains all equipment and automation as required.
