• 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1099 County Road 350, Clanton, AL 35045 Plant Foreman Job Overview The Plant Foreman supervises the day-to-day production, inventory, and assesses the resources needed to complete daily sand & gravel production needs. The Plant Operator manages the plant equipment and staff, delegates tasks to team members. They plan, observe, and adjust for all activities on and around the plant. The Plant Foreman reports to the Site Superintendent. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe, drug-free worksite. Ensure all safety PPE is used in the plant work area. Communicate with sales and management on daily, weekly, and monthly material needs. Manage the production of material needs on daily basis. Communicate with pit on feed quality and quantity needs. Organize and communicate the blend needs per product with operators. Work with Site Superintendent on inventory surplus to account for maintenance days. Manage and give clear directions to plant laborers and plant equipment operators. Operate heavy equipment as needed to fill in or maintain production goals. Work with Site Superintendent organizing and planning maintenance Day schedule. Participate in repairs and maintenance day work. Responsible for all greasing, fueling and daily maintenance items. Daily reporting of production, down up, up time, feed rates, workplace exams, plant inspection forms and plant heavy equipment daily inspection forms. Provide daily yard inventory reports to Management at the end of each shift. Adjust plant as needed according to visual inspections and daily Q/C testing reports. Manage water volumes and quality from pit for plant needs. Qualifications 18 years old or older Ability to operate Heavy Equipment Experience with resolving electrical issues preferred Plant maintenance experience required Welding/Fabrication preferred Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion. Willing to work flexible hours and conditions
Physical Qualifications Strength and Endurance:
Ability to exert force when pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects, often weighing 50 pounds. Ability to lift 100 pounds occasionally.
Mobility:
Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and climbing.
Hand-Eye Coordination:
Precise control of levers, pedals, and other controls on the machinery.
Vision:
Good depth perception and clear vision to accurately gauge distances and identify potential hazards.
Hearing:
Ability to hear instructions and machine sounds.
