Job Title Manufacturing Supervisor II Position Overview Position Overview:
Supervises departmental employees and complies with all safety, quality, production, waste, absenteeism, turnover, and housekeeping standards necessary to meet the departmental requirements assigned by the Department Manager. Interacts directly with other supervisors in the accomplishment of support, scheduling, and through-put improvement objectives in the manufacturing process. Responsible for all necessary forecasting, planning, assigning, reporting, and follow-up for all departmental daily functions.
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Twisting Department Manager. Coordinates with the Extrusion Departments and Heatset Department to ensure the proper flow of yarn through the Twisting Department. Directs and monitors all activity of the Twisting personnel and automation technicians to ensure proper production and quality levels are attained. Review and Identify change needed for effective Twisting Standard Operating Procedure. Directly accountable and responsible for the actions and safety of all Twisting personnel. Holds monthly safety meetings. Conducts daily Tier 1 meetings with associates on safety, performance, and quality results and expectations. Implements the Positive Discipline Program to insure conformance of all individuals to company policies. Ensures excellent housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Tours and inspects all areas of the Twisting Department during Gemba walks. Promotes and participates in all department and plant related activities such as special events, celebrations, and other activities to boost morale of Twisting personnel. Provides shift schedules to ensure proper allocation of people, machinery, and yarn flow.

Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma with a minimum of 1-2 years supervisor (relief supervisor) experience.
