This means that we make the right decisions quickly and intuitively. The Program Manager is responsible for all operations involving a large Steel Shipping Rack modification project. A continuous improvement approach is necessary and accomplished with a hands-on style when establishing and improving production processes on the shop floor. This position requires daily interaction with floor personnel and supervisors and is responsible for all Key Performance Indicators (KPl’s) in Productivity, Quality, Safety, and Cost. A successful candidate will be able to multitask, have great communication skills, participate in cross functional meetings, and demonstrate an appropriate sense of urgency. Your tasks Attention to production scheduling and on time delivery. Responsible for reporting the team’s KPl’s, financial performance and contribution. Formulate short and long-term strategy relating to safety, on-time delivery to the customer, cost reduction, quality improvement, capacity planning, and financial goals. Motivate and retain critical personnel to meet and exceed company goals and customer expectations. Establish daily production plans that maximize labor and talent. Your Profile Strong leadership, influencing and mentoring skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Proven record of consistently improving operational performance. Ability to develop a successful manufacturing team. Ability to utilize computer software for communicating, presenting, and analyzing the operation. Work experience/ Education Bachelor’s degree is preferred but the right candidate with substantial years of experience will be considered. Manufacturing experience is a plus with automotive industry experience preferred. 5 years of supervising or managing experience required. Metal fabrication and welding experience a plus. This position manages 6-8 employees. Experience in a job shop environment with high mix, low to high volume production experience a plus.
