- Guides thedaily activities of a team to ensure the human handling and properprocessing of live turkeys in accordance with all standards,policies, regulations, and all HACCP and USDA requirements.
Ensuresa safe working environment is maintained while meeting allproduction and quality goals. Trains, educates, and empowers teammembers. Maintains accurate records related to KPIs to promoteoperational performance.

KeyResponsibilities:
- -Supervises the day-to-day activities of ateam of entry level individual contributors.
Provides guidance,coaching, and support to ensure successful completion of tasks.
Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations,performance management, goal setting, team member development,scheduling, etc. Enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
- Monitors departmental goals and keyperformance indicators (KPIs) to ensure team success. Reports andtroubleshoots issues to maximize productivity.
- Sets up and monitors equipment in assignedarea. Conducts checks to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Ensures compliance with all animal welfareregulations and promotes the humane handling of live birds.
- Perform walk thru safety audits, enforces teammember safety and proper use of personal protection equipment(PPE), and addresses issues.
- Handles employee issues from all shifts,including issues relating to bird health, associate welfare, jobperformance, and disciplinary actions.
- Participates in safety meetings and KPImeetings.
- Participates in safety investigations, audits,and inspections.
- Ensures compliance with all internal policiesand procedures, regulations, and contractual obligations, includinggood manufacturing practices (GMPS), and SSOPs.
- Responsible for supervising Fire Evacuation ofarea to assigned point.
- Distributes and facilitates safety materials,including OSHA topics.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Haitian CreoleMinimumQualifications (Educations & Experience)
- 4+ years of relevantexperience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed inthe role.
1+ year of leadership experience or the knowledge, skillsand abilities to succeed in the role.
High school diploma, GED, orequivalent.

Physical Demands:
- While performingthe duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required tostand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and usehands and fingers to operate equipment, computer, telephone,keyboard, and occasionally climb and lift to or about 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and theability to adjust focus.•
Working Conditions:
Work will be performedin a variety of conditions. Occasionally in a climate-controlledoffice environment(s) and primarily in a manufacturing plantenvironment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas,warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions.
This positionrequires the individual to wear and work in personal protectiveequipment while in the manufacturing environment.
The noise level ofthe office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in themanufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearingprotection.
Occasional travel may be required.•
