Basic Job Functions:
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction by aligning the division’s production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and shipping functions. The teammate will have an effective strategy that incorporates all departments to achieve the short-term and long-term production and shipment goals of the division through a team-oriented and cooperative approach. Acting as a resource, this position will be directly involved in coordinating hot side production, cold side production, and outbound shipments to maximize volume, improve on-time delivery, optimize inventory, and increase profitability. Working with our partners, this position will lead negotiations with barge, rail, and truck carriers to improve delivery and costs for our customers. This position is an integral member of the leadership team and will be responsible for leading the efforts to continually improve our safety, profitability, and team member development. This will include promoting a culture of ownership, engagement, and teamwork working with other departments to ensure consistency and the long-term success of the division. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two
