We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring safety, high quality standards and efficiency, within our facility. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of working in a union environment. Duties Ensure shop safety and awareness on shift. Plan and schedule resources to meet production demand Verify employee adherence to established manufacturing and safe work practices. Staff, manage, and develop department personnel to meet production and quality targets Ensure shop floor orientation for new employees Provide direction, feedback, tools and training for work requirements Handle employee/labor issues and administration of labor agreement Review work instructions to ensure that improvements, revisions, or new developments are included. Develop completely new work instructions if/when necessary as well. Provide supervisory relief coverage as needed. Provide support for LPS initiatives Other duties as assigned. Supervise daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards Skills and requirements AS Degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years experience supervising in a manufacturing environment. It is desirable for the employee to obtain additional training related to management or training duties. Experience supervising in a Union Environment or strong understanding of working within a labor agreement terms. Requires good communication skills to provide effective training to employees.
