Plant/Dispatch Supervisor 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 14770 Old Saint Augustine Road, Jacksonville, FL 32258 Job Overview This position focuses on the operation of the facility including, but not limited to plant personnel, production that meets the needs/ demands of a quality product to the customer, safety, maintenance, and customer relations. This position also manages all the administrative functions of transportation in the facility, including the monitoring of our driver fleet per DOT regulations in a specific region and compliance of Company policies and procedures. Essential Duties – Plant Operations Open to train under the direction of the Branch Manager in preparing orders of our customers’ product, including tank installations Express clear communication with the Branch Manager on any suggestions or problems that would have the potential to interfere with production or transportation Read and interpret chemical quality control reports to ensure that chemical product tests are properly recorded and they meet the required sales specifications Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and productivity Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a culture of safety among staff, including proper use of PPE for each position Essential Duties – Transportation Operations Arranges the delivery of product to customers by routing the branch fleet based on customer requirement and assigns motor vehicles to our drivers. Create and process delivery tickets daily Prepare and reconcile daily trip sheets and load sheets Establishes delivery routes to driver fleet within DOT guidelines, including hours of serivce (HOS) rules Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Minimum of one year of job-related experience in leading groups and working in a chemical manufacturing setting Strong team management skills, including problem-solving and critical thinking Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment operation. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a plant environment. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
