Production Line Supervisor Position Available In Duval, Florida

Production Line Supervisor QuickTie™ 2730 Pickettville Rd Ste 106, Jacksonville, FL 32220 Production Line Supervisor Quick Tie Products, Inc. (QuickTie) is a manufacturing organization headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. This supervisory position will oversee production of QuickTie cables on two to three assembly lines. Responsibilities include safely running daily production to include any special orders or rush orders ensuring they are completed within deadline, meeting daily quotas, ensuring quality standards are met, instructing staff on any special orders or changes, and ensuring all safety and quality protocols are followed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment for all associates, with a constant safety focus.
• Oversee quality of products produced.
• Continuously improve facility processes by evaluating workflow, equipment, fixtures, and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Assign production staff tasks to be completed, review work orders and schedule in order of priority/fulfillment date.
• Coordinate with order fulfillment team to efficiently prioritize assignments.
• Maintain stock inventory.
• Motivate staff to keep up quota levels.
• Assist with coordination of personnel (e.g., absences and temporary workers, rotating and staggering functions over breaks/lunches, etc.) to maximize efficiency.
• Step-up to fill critical vacancies on the line when required.
• Work with purchasing and manufacturing to keep assembly components at adequate levels.
• Work with others in a team environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or other similar trade environment.
• Mechanical, machinery, electrical background a plus
• Good work ethic and the ability to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to take directions and follow instructions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to sixty pounds without difficulty.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work a 10-hour shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, stand, lift, push, and pull.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Work Hours:

7:00am to 5:30pm, Monday – Thursday; 7:00am to 12:00pm (noon) on Fridays for overtime as required . Salary ranges from $60,000 to $65,000/ year depending on (a) agreed upon hours and (b) experience.
