The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication and installation, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a proactive approach to managing projects and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards while delivering high-quality workmanship in construction settings. Responsibilities Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Manage project timelines and resources effectively to ensure timely completion of tasks. Supervise junior mechanics and provide guidance on best practices in sheet metal work. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards. Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate efforts across various trades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Requirements Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or similar role in the construction industry. Strong proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices in construction environments. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
