Job Title:
Truss Plant Manager Seeking a highly motivated andexperienced Truss Plant Operations Lead to oversee the dailyoperations of our truss manufacturing facility. This leadershiprole is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaininghigh-quality standards, enforcing safety protocols, and managing ateam of supervisors and production staff. The ideal candidate has astrong background in wood truss manufacturing, operationalleadership, and lean production practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the truss manufacturing plant.
Lead, manage, and motivate production teams to meet productiongoals and quality standards. Ensure safety policies and proceduresare strictly followed to maintain a safe working environment.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improveproductivity and efficiency. Monitor inventory levels, raw materialusage, and production schedules. Collaborate with design, sales,and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate orderfulfillment. Identify and implement continuous improvementinitiatives using lean manufacturing principles. Maintain equipmentand coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Recruit, train, and develop plant staff; conduct performanceevaluations and provide coaching. Ensure compliance with industryregulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
High schooldiploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in OperationsManagement, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldpreferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in truss manufacturing ora related building materials environment. Minimum 2-3 years ofsupervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of truss design, production processes, andquality control. Knowledge of ERP systems and production schedulingtools. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizationalskills. Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drivecontinuous improvement. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and plantsafety standards.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with MiTek softwareor similar truss design systems. Lean Six Sigma or other processimprovement training. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
