MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR

Schedule

  • Must be able to work a weekly rotating shift: 1st Shift (5:30 AM
  • 2:10 PM) & 2nd Shift (2:00 PM
  • 10:40 PM).

Job Description This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of production activities. The ideal candidate will thrive on working with a team in a schedule driven, fast-paced production environment. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing floor. Coordinate, plan, and supervise activities. Ensure the efficient production of products with emphasis on quality. Ensure quality of work performed through routine quality checks. Responsible for managing assigned personnel, and issues written and oral instructions. Monitor departmental and individual performance and provide appropriate feedback, encouragement, and discipline when necessary. Provide coaching and leadership to new and existing manufacturing associates. Ensure all assigned personnel observe and understand all company policies and procedures. Including established systems compliance, safety practices and procedures Perform production associate activities/work as needed. Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Education and/or Experience Associate degree from two-year college or university; or 3

  • 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Highly organized with good time management skills Able to speak, read and write English and/or Spanish (a must). Computer literacy including the ability to learn new software quickly. ISO and GMP experience are highly desired. Experience with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired.
