JOB OVERVIEW

This position oversees and manages daily production activities within our aviation maintenance department. This role will ensure that all technicians are following established protocols, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency, and meeting production goals on time.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead the work of other technicians by planning, assigning, prioritizing, setting work schedules, providing quality control surveillance and/or on-the-job training. Monitor and approve time and attendance. Ensure all technicians are properly signing into tasks in accordance with company policy. Plan, prioritize, and assign work tasks to technicians, ensuring deadlines and production targets are met while maintaining high quality. Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with the CFM manuals and FAA regulations. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training to technicians to improve skill levels and knowledge of procedures. Understands and follows the priority order of the assignments. Ensure that every person assigned to a job has the correct work instructions, tools, and applicable references available and is familiar with what is required to complete the task. Assure proper documentation for work performed by assigned employees, reflecting the status of the job. Directly oversee the work performed by any individuals who are unfamiliar with the methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to perform any maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alterations. Verify and sign off on employee proficiencies based on on-the-job training (OJT) to ensure individuals demonstrate the required knowledge and competencies in performing their responsibilities safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental compliance. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects within the engine shop to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, improve safety and optimize overall workflow and performance. Manage and issue documentation through Quantum, ensuring accurate handling, tracking, and recording of job order, parts, and maintenance records in compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S Must be fluent in English (written and verbal) Must demonstrate cross-functional leadership and team-building skills

Preferred:

Experience in the assembly and disassembly of

CMF56-7B/5B

engines. Ability to navigate and interpret Engine Shop Manuals (ESM). Proficient in the use of tools, gauges, and instruments necessary to perform assigned duties. Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions. Ability to lead and direct technicians while producing high-quality work within a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Job Demands:

Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
