Job Description

A leading food manufacturing company in Farmingdale, NY is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on the production floor. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring production targets are met while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

salary:

$75,000 – $82,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM – 3:30

No Degree RequiredResponsibilitiesDaily Operations Supervise production line activities to meet daily output targets.

Monitor workflow and quickly resolve any delays or disruptions. Team Leadership Lead and support line staff during active shifts.

Assign roles, manage shift coverage, and provide direction as needed.

Promote a team-focused, respectful work culture. Safety & Product Quality Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies.

Work alongside QA to identify and resolve quality concerns in real-time.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment. Process Improvement Identify and address issues with machinery, materials, or workflow.

Coordinate with maintenance staff to reduce downtime.

Continuously seek ways to boost productivity and reduce waste. Training & Performance Train new team members on safety procedures and production standards.

Set clear expectations and monitor performance throughout the shift.

Address performance issues professionally in collaboration with HR. Shift Documentation & Handoffs Accurately complete shift reports, production logs, and downtime records.

Communicate critical updates to incoming supervisors and other departments.
