Job Description
Injection Molding Supervisor 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 4800 US Highway 301 S, Register, GA 30452 The Injection Molding Supervisor is a performance-focused, experienced leader charged with directing daily operations in the injection molding production area. This role is pivotal in achieving Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) targets while fostering a workplace culture grounded in accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Supervisor builds strong team dynamics and collaborates effectively across departments to ensure optimal productivity and alignment with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities Operational Efficiency :
Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve machine issues during downtime to minimize production interruptions and ensure quick recovery.
Personnel Management :
Lead all aspects of workforce management including staffing, attendance, timekeeping, performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary action, terminations, and career development.
Leadership Support :
Coach and mentor departmental supervisors, reinforcing positive behavior and managing underperformance through corrective measures when needed.
Performance Monitoring :
Use visual management tools to track departmental performance and provide consistent updates to senior management.
Team Guidance :
Direct and support Production Leads in assigning tasks, solving problems, and maintaining workflow.
Safety Compliance :
Promote a safe, clean work environment through safety training, adherence to policies, and implementation of best practices in equipment use.
Resource Allocation :
Ensure Production Leads have the tools, resources, and guidance necessary to meet production targets.
Production Planning :
Coordinate schedules and resources to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products to both internal and external customers.
Communication & Engagement :
Conduct routine team meetings and participate in monthly leadership forums to align on goals and share updates.
Workplace Standards :
Champion cleanliness and organization by leading initiatives that uphold high housekeeping standards.
Collaboration :
Partner with HR and other departments to improve employee relations, reduce turnover, and participate in cross-functional committees.
Continuous Improvement :
Initiate and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, productivity, and quality.
Stakeholder Relations :
Build strong working relationships with team members, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
Decision-Making & Conduct :
Exhibit sound judgment and decision-making aligned with company values, while modeling professionalism and respectful conduct. Required Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in injection molding. Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or equivalent experience (preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP. Strong understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of injection molding equipment, tools, and operations. Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills. Proven ability to manage complex projects alongside daily operations. High level of integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Working knowledge of
IATF 16949
quality standards. OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Certification. Training or certification in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Just-In-Time (JIT), or ISO standards.
