Job Summary Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced Production Line Lead This role oversees a team of production line workers and conveyor systems, managing daily tasks such as break times, employee training, and ensuring efficient production. They utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges and maintain expertise in the production line’s operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers. Provide training and guidance to line workers on proper production techniques and safety procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure production schedules are met by monitoring workflow. Maintain production efficiency by troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on the production line in coordination with maintenance. Monitor and control production costs while minimizing waste. Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production line. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the production line. Maintain accurate records of production output, labor hours, and material usage. Prepare and submit reports on production performance and any issues encountered. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate with all employees in the facility, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of machinery and tools. Working knowledge and experience with a CMMS system. Ability to solve problems in a timely, professional manner. Understanding of OSHA regulations and implementation of safety regulations. Strong willingness to work hard, reliable, attentive and attention to detail. Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time.
Education and Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant production line experience in an industrial setting. 2-3 years prior experience in leadership in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
