Responsibilities:

Overall management of plant operations to ensure key metrics are obtained (on time delivery, product yield, product quality, employee efficiency, safety) Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations Spend a minimum of 50% of the workday on the production floor guiding, mentoring, and coaching the production team Increasing production assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standard Work closely with sales team to ensure effective working relationship between sales and operations Allocate labor force effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results Implement strategies that are in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide clarity and focus for the team Implement LEAN tools or processes across the facility Build a trusting relationship with the team through coaching and consistency while continuing to recruit and build a stronger, cohesive team Collect and analyze data to improve existing KPIs and implement additional KPIs as appropriate Implement and develop standards for quality and accuracy of manufacturing and fulfilling orders Generate work orders, production and packing lists as needed Count, record and report inventory for all warehoused material as documented procedures Report defective or substandard material, supplies or products Maintain work area, equipment and tools using 5S methodology Ensure all safety related activities (safety talks, training, improvement projects, forklift daily checklists, etc.) are completed on time for self and team Represent Company in all daily interactions with customers, vendors, freight personnel and other employees Ensure employees’ safety and environmental concerns are addressed Oversee shop equipment and preventative maintenance schedules Other duties as assigned
